I am already missing the US. I stepped off my eleven hour long flight through six time zones five hours after I got on. As you can see, I didn't get much sleep. It feels like I have been awake for two days, and I am having trouble keeping my head up as I write this post.
Anyway, our first stop was in Pretoria, the de facto capital of South Africa. It is not as hot as I thought Africa would be. I imagined it to all be desert and rain forest, all scalding hot. We are visiting the University of Pretoria first, as this tour is of all the major universities of South Africa. The campus is amazing, and I can't believe the diversity.
I haven't seen any lions yet. Oops, I'll talk more later; my ride is just about to pull out.
